Advantages:

🔹 Natively integrates with Lambda for more complex data processing
🔹 Kinesis Data Stream stores records for 24 hours by default, up to 365 days
🔹 Real-time data insights using Kinesis Analytics
🔹 Auto-scaling for adding or removing streams with on-demand mode

Limitations:
🔸 Maximum record size is 1 MB
🔸 Each shard supports writes up to 1,000 records per second

Use cases:
🔹 Real-time analytics for the data, eg. Real-Time Web Analytics with Kinesis
🔹 Anomaly detection on IoT device readings, eg. Smart city traffic anomaly detection using Kinesis Data Analytics Studio
